MID-CENTURY TEAK WALNUT MOD DINING
Set of 4 Naugahyde upholstered Gunlocke chairs. Constructed of solid walnut. Gunlocke started out as a collaboration of 5 furniture makers who started a factory in the early 1900s in Wayland, New York. They grew throughout the early 20c with contracts from giants like Western Electric and created some of the highest quality office chairs of the century. JFK deliberated the Cuban Missle Crisis in the Oval Office in a Gunlocke chair. The company is one of the few surviving manufacturers in the United States, probably due to their numerous innovations. They created employee profit sharing in 1941, are probably the only company to still use steam bending processes and are staunchly committed to sustainable manufacturing. Gunlockes are as solid as they are beautiful - from their iconic courtroom chair to these mid-century modern guest chairs. 4 available In warehouse
